Continental and GRANIT PARTS: A Strategic Alliance for the Agricultural Aftermarket
Continental's Surface Solutions (SSL) division will debut at Metstrade 2025, the premier international marine equipment trade fair in Amsterdam from November 18 to 20, 2025. Under the slogan 'When out at sea, count on skai', Continental will unveil a range of elegant, functional, and sea-ready surface solutions that meet the highest standards of durability and design.
At booth 11.404, visitors can explore the skai brand's artificial leather portfolio for upholstery, specifically designed for hospitality furniture in marine environments. The star of the exhibit is the public debut of skai Misuna EN, a versatile upholstery material with a modern textile grain and a 25-color palette, ideal for outdoor use on yachts, cruise ships, and other maritime settings.
"We're thrilled to see the high regard our Continental surface materials are held in by the leisure marine industry," said Christelle Perico-Darras, Head of Hospitality, Healthcare & Public Areas EMEA. "Metstrade provides a valuable platform to strengthen relationships and explore new collaborations with professionals in this dynamic sector."
In addition to skai Misuna EN, Continental will showcase other materials and highlight innovative technologies. The skai cool colors lines, including Venezia and Valero, are engineered to reduce surface heating under direct sunlight, improving comfort and color fastness. The skai Neptun Pescara collection offers high-quality artificial leather with a classic cowhide grain, engineered for outdoor and marine environments. Its nanotechnology finish makes it highly resistant to UV radiation, saltwater, and dirt, perfect for boats, yachts, and cruise ships.
Continental will also feature upholstery fabrics with staynu surface technology, providing exceptional dirt resistance and ease of cleaning. Skai Toronto EN and Skai Tovega EN are key products in this category, designed for indoor environments like public spaces and hospitality areas, offering durability, disinfectant resistance, and a wide color range for versatile design options.
Sustainability Commitment: Skai Evida and Skai Evida Fiber
As part of its sustainable product strategy, Continental will introduce Skai Evida and Skai Evida Fiber, two bio-based artificial leathers for indoor use. Skai Evida is composed of up to 80% renewable raw materials, while Skai Evida Fiber reaches 90%, combining a natural look with durability and easy maintenance. Both products are vegan, phthalate-free, and manufactured using CO2-neutral electricity.
Visitors to Metstrade are invited to explore the full range of Skai materials at RAI Amsterdam, booth 11.404, and learn more about Continental's commitment to quality, innovation, and compliance in marine hospitality design.
